Welcome Reception - Thursday 6 October - Fort Scratchley

Date: Thursday, 6 October 2011
Time: 5.00pm – 7.00pm
Location: Fort Scratchley, 1 Nobbys Road, Newcastle
Dress code: Smart Casual
Transport: A coach transfer will be provided and will depart from the Crowne Plaza at 4.40pm – collecting delegates from the Ibis Newcastle at 4.45pm. Coaches will return at 7.00pm. 
Parking: Car parking is available on site.  Additionally there is free street parking close by.

Fort Scratchley Historic Site (pictured below) is a unique and spectacular venue situated on the headland at the entrance to the Newcastle Harbour. Built in the late 1800’s to protect the Newcastle coastline, the Fort is rich in military history and has amazing views of the city , harbour and beaches.

Conference Dinner - Saturday 8 October - Newcastle Museum

Date: Saturday, 8 October 2011
Time: 7.00pm – 11.00pm
Dress code: Black Tie
Location: Newcastle Museum, Workshop Way, Honeysuckle
Getting There:  The Museum is located less than one minute’s walk away from the main entrance to Crowne Plaza, Newcastle enabling guests to make their own way there and back with ease. From the Ibis Newcastle, the museum is a leisurely 1.2km stroll taking approx. 15 minutes. 
Parking: Street parking is available close to the Museum or the outdoor Honeysuckle car park (entrance off Wright Lane) is close by. Parking fees apply.

The Newcastle Museum opened on 4 August 2011.  The $23.5 million development is the most significant project the City of Newcastle has undertaken in recent years.  The museum houses both permanent and temporary exhibitions, with over 1000m2 dedicated to the interactive science centre, Supernova, in the Locomotive Boilershop.

Partners Program - Friday 7 October

Location: Newcastle & Lake Macquarie. Departs from Crowne Plaza, Newcastle

This Wine Tasting Tour visits premium Hunter wineries including Earnest Hill Winery, Constable Estate Vinyards, McWilliams Mt Pleasant Estate and many more. A winery staff member is assigned to the tour, making your wine tasting experience personal and educational. The tour also includes a two course restaurant lunch.
